TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Enrolment at Movement17 Academy is confirmed by the enrolment process registering your child, accepting the terms and conditions submitting to Movement17 Academy.
FEES DEPOSITS, AND REFUNDS
A fee is charged for each class enrolled per term.
All fees are due before the first class.
Fees will only be pro rata when a student starts part-way through a term.
No refunds will be given for any missed classes.
REGISTER, ATTENDANCE AND ABSENCE
A register for each class is maintained by the teacher for the purposes of safety and security.
If a student is absent for two or more consecutive weeks, a refund of 80% of the fees will be refunded on the evidence of a medical certificate. This certificate will need to be provided within one month after the first date of the missed class.
If a class is cancelled due to an unforeseen event, the class will be rescheduled and may be a different day or time from when the class was originally scheduled and could involve an extension to the term time dates. No refunds will be given in this case.
PAYMENT
Payment is made prior to starting classes.
All fees are paid through bank transfer, invoices to be sent out.
LATE PAYMENT
The payer will receive written notice if a payment has not been received in accordance with these terms and conditions.
Movement17 Academy reserves the right to charge interest for any unpaid fees.
DISCOUNTS
A sibling discount will be applied to all younger siblings and will appear as a deduction on your invoice.
PRIVATE LESSONS
A 48hr cancellation notice written via email to Movement17 must be given for private classes, otherwise fees remain payable.
TEACHERS
All teachers are screened through the Disclosure and Barring Service (formally CRB) for their suitability to work with children.
At a last resort, scheduled teachers may not be available and as such an alternative teacher of equal or greater qualification will be in place.
SAFETY AND CONDUCT
Movement17 take seriously their responsibility to ensure the health and safety of all participants by regular risk assessments and always attempting to minimise any risk of injury within physical boundaries, however all physical activity carries the risk of accidents occurring.
Movement17 Academy does not accept responsibility for students’ safety outside the premises.
FIRST AID
A first aider will always be available during classes
MEDICAL PERMISSIONS
Please notify the principal of any medical issues or learning difficulties that may affect your child’s learning.
Students/Parents/Guardians are required to give permission for an authorised first aider to give any immediate and/or necessary first aid treatment. This includes any emergency medical treatment recommended by competent medical authorities including emergency medical staff.
UNIFORM AND APPEARANCE
We ask all students to wear the recommended uniform for each class. Uniforms can be ordered through our website www.movement17.co.uk or by emailing info@movement.co.uk
Hair should always be of the face and neckline, neat and tidy.
For safety reasons jewellery must not be worn in class.
WAIVER
Physical contact with your child will be necessary and this will be done in an appropriate manner and with your child’s best interest in mind. If you have any concerns regarding this matter, please contact the principle.
PHOTO’S AND VIDEO’S
By enrolling your child in Movement17 Academy you acknowledge that photos and videos are used for the purpose to update you on your child’s progress.
Movement17 Academy ask for full rights to use the images resulting from the photography/video filming, and any reproductions or adaptations of the images for fundraising, publicity, or other purposes to help the achieve the group’s aims. This might include (but is not limited to), the right to use them in printed and online publicity, social media, and press releases.
These will only ever be used provided we have your prior consent.
EXAMINATIONS, PRESENTATIONS AND CLASS AWARDS
Movement17 Academy offers examinations, presentations, and class awards in the Acrobatics Arts Syllabus. Parents/Carers and students will be informed when their required level is achieved.
Examinations, Presentations and Class awards are not compulsory but are encouraged.
PERFORMANCES AND SHOWS
Movement17 Academy will put on performances and shows throughout each year. These will include school fates,

Movement17 Academy will enter competitions.

WATCHING WEEK
A designated watching week will be provided for parents/guardians to be given the opportunity to see your child’s progress termly.

Movement17 Academy Safeguarding and Child Protection Policy are available upon request.
